Shopping
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our website using the Navigation to the left of each page. When you have found a product that you wish to order, select your size from the drop down list and add it to your shopping basket by clicking the "add to basket" button.
Purchasing & Payment
Once you have completed your shopping list, proceed to the checkout by clicking the "Checkout" button at the top of your page. You will then be asked for a few details that we need to complete your order request.
We accept all major credit & debit cards for payment. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, mail or over the internet. Please quote your order number in all communications.
Payment is not taken until we have confirmed that the goods on order are in stock, have been allocated to your order and are ready to ship.
Please note that we ship only to the UK Mainland.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed or phoned with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Payment is not taken for backordered goods until they are in stock and are ready to ship.
Shipping And Handling
Ensuring your order arrives in perfect condition is very important to us. All our products are blast frozen and carefully packaged using dry ice in insulated boxes which are meticulously temperature controlled so they reach you in prime condition.
All orders are despatched on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's to arrive promptly the next working day.
Depending on location and delivery size, your order will normally be delivered between 8am-6pm. While we will do our best to ensure prompt delivery, a parcel will very occasionally be delayed and unfortunately we cannot guarantee an exact delivery time, With this in mind, we are happy to deliver your order direct to your home or another nominated address such as a neighbour or workplace if more convenient.
There will be a £5.95 charge per order depending on where you live and size of order.
Please note that Buccleuch Larder products will be sent separately from meat / fish boxes. There will be no delivery charge if your order is £75.00 and over, however orders under this amount will incur a delivery charge of £5.95.

Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and we will deduct the VAT for you before we send out your order.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Buccleuchfoods.com have adopted a 128 bit Safer key, which gives a reasonable performance whilst being several orders of magnitude beyond where brute force methods could break the encryption. SSL offers only a 40-bit key in non-US implementations (although 56 bit key implementations are now becoming available). To put things in context, each additional bit of key space takes twice as long to break. So a 41 bit key is twice as strong as a 40 bit key. The 128 bit key used in Actinic Catalog is 4,722,366,482,869,645,213,696 times as strong as the SSL 56 bit key.
